About us 📌

Scipio is a non-profit organization focused on comprehensive youth work, the development of non-formal education, the promotion of human rights, social resilience and sustainability. We have been working with young people from different social backgrounds, including youth from excluded locations, for a long time, and we create an inclusive and safe environment for their personal and civic development.

Our mission is to strengthen active citizenship, democratic values ​​and social cohesion at local, national and European levels.

Main areas of activity 🤔

Youth work and non-formal education

We implement educational and development activities based on the principles of non-formal education. We focus on developing key competencies of young people, such as critical thinking, collaboration, communication, media literacy and the ability to actively participate in public life.

Human rights, democracy and active citizenship

Human rights, equality and social justice form the value basis of all our activities. We support the understanding of democratic processes, the prevention of discrimination and the strengthening of the voice of young people in society.

A resilient and sustainable society

A significant part of our work is supporting social resilience and a responsible approach to the environment. We focus on topics such as sustainable development, climate challenges, environmental responsibility and the connection between social and ecological issues.

We guide young people to understand the connections between environmental protection, quality of life and human rights and support their active involvement in solving local and global challenges.

International cooperation and Erasmus+

We have experience in preparing, implementing and partnering in international projects, especially within the Erasmus+ programme. We participate in youth exchanges, educational activities and international cooperation focused on youth, non-formal education, human rights, sustainability and social resilience.

We see international projects as a key tool for the development of European citizenship, intercultural dialogue and sharing of good practice.

Scipio's work is based on the values ​​of the European Union - human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights. We systematically translate these values ​​into our work with youth at both local and international levels.

👀 Local dimension:
Mladí pro Krnov

Part of the Scipio organization is the Mladí pro Krnov initiative, which focuses on working with youth in the city of Krnov. The goal is to support the active involvement of young people in community and public life, the development of local initiatives, and the strengthening of young people's relationship with the place where they live.
